The end of the 2016 NFL Season has arrived with the final two teams. The Patriots have steamrolled almost every team even with Tom Brady suspended the first four games for deflategate. The Falcons high octane offense lead by Matt Ryan and Julio Jones has shredded opposing defenses that no team can stop them. Who will hoist the 51st Lombardi Trophy? Will the Patriots win yet again or will the Falcons finally bring a Lombardi Trophy to Atlanta. The Super Bowl is Feburary 5th, 2017 at 5:30 PM Central Standard Time
Why the New England Patriots Will Win
Why not, they always win. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick always win in the Super Bowl, unless they're playing Eli Manning and the New York Giants. Tom Brady has dominated the entire season and may not need the first four games for the MVP. New England's offense has been able to stop defenses during the season and the Super Bowl should be no exception. With Tom Brady at the helm of the offense, they are Super Bowl contenders every season.
Why the Atlanta Falcons Will Win
Atlanta's high octane offense has shredded opposing defenses during the playoffs, scoring 36 against Seattle and 44 against Green Bay. Even with a average defense that gave up 20 and 21 points respectively, Atlanta destroyed all of their opposition anyway. With one mistake created by their defense, they can run up the score on you and put a team in a giant hole quickly you can't get out of. If the offense keeps this pace, they will be a dangerous team every season.
My Prediction and Why
I really don't want the Patriots to win yet another Super Bowl but they're going to win again anyways due their balanced team and Super Bowl experience, leading them to a slim victory. Atlanta can't rely heavily on their offense to win championships, if they can't stop Tom Brady, they won't win and New England eventually wins their fifth Super Bowl and pisses off Roger Goodell in the process.
